Well, it's not the Tiffany Jewellery's fashion news this time, let's join another jewellery fashion party, Follow me!
The theme of the fashion night held last Thursday was coined “spiritual sexuality”, by the designer, Gloria Wavamunno. However, no religious frocks were given a “sexy make over” but rather the young designer put up a unique well thought-out showcase.
The young designer claims she is inspired by the famous British designer Ozwald Boateng known for his attention to detail, sharp tailoring and innovative use of colour. And going with clothes that were showcased, which all revolved around certain colours such as silvers, whites and blacks with two pieces of orange sandwiched in between her collection, all with neatly placed sparkling embroidery, the influence of Boateng was quite heavy in her showcase.
The fashion highlight though was in the final piece, in the bridal category that featured just the one wedding gown. The flowing white gown was laced with crystal embroidery crawling across the chest of the gown pointing to a rather impressive work in the department of tailoring and pattern cutting. After the brief showcase (it took just one hour; 8.30 to 9.30p.m., a welcome rarity!) entertainment in the form of Klear Kut and Michael Ross took centre stage, at the newly opened Silk Ocean. As for Gloria, the young designer proved she could be the new designer to watch out for.
I think this news is not bad for you though it's not the Tiffany fashion, See you next time!
